Kenya Online eTA Application Process
To help applicants complete the Kenya eTA application correctly, each step of the application form is explained below, from entering details to uploading documents and submitting the application.
Step 1: Confirm Eligibility
Before beginning the application process, the traveller must confirm whether they can apply for a Kenya eTA. To confirm eligibility, the applicant can check the Kenya eTA policy page. The policy page has a list of countries eligible for the Kenya eTA.
Step 2: Fill Out the Application Form
The application form requires applicants to provide the following details:
- Provide phone number; name as per passport; nationality; occupation; marital status; current address; and emergency contact name and phone number.
- Choose the Kenya eTA type you want to apply for. The application form has a list of eTAs the applicant can choose from. Select one that aligns with your travel purpose.
- Provide passport number and passport expiry date.
- Choose the mode and port of arrival in Kenya.
- Answer a few additional declarations and security questions
- Provide emergency contact name and phone number
Step 3: Choose a Processing Option
The Kenya eTA application portal offers 3 processing options to applicants:
- Standard Processing: Receive eVisa within 3-5 Days.
- Rush Processing: Receive eVisa within 2 - 3 Days.
- Super-Rush Processing: Receive eVisa within 1 - 2 Days.
Rush and Super-Rush processing are available for an additional fee.
Step 4: Upload the Required Documents
The documents required vary depending on the selected Kenya eTA type. The submitted scan copy of the documents must be clear and of high quality. The list of documents required is:

- Passport Bio Page Scan
- Photograph
- Round-Trip Travel Ticket (Air, Cruise, Land)
- Accommodation Proof (required for all Kenya eTA types except the Transit eTA)
Additional Documents Required by Kenya eTA Type
- Business eTA: Letter from employer
- Family Visit eTA: Host Invitation Letter, ID Card
- Work eTA: Letter from employer
- Medical eTA: Medical Referral Letter
- Student eTA: Admission Letter
- Crew eTA (Plan or Ship): Crew ID or Seaman Book and Host's ID Card
- Seaman eTA (Fishing Vessel): Crew ID or Seaman Book and Host’s ID Card

Step 5: Pay the Kenya eTA Fee
The total fee charged for the Kenya eTA includes visa cost, service fee and any additional rush or super-rush fee (if selected).
The fee can be paid using a credit or debit card or through other accepted payment options.
Once the fee is paid, the applicant receives an order ID to track the eVisa application status.
The applicant also receives regular status updates to their registered email ID.
Step 6: Submit the Application
Once the payment is completed, the application is submitted for processing. Our visa professionals carefully review the application and submitted documents to identify any errors or missing information.
Where possible, corrections are made on the applicant's behalf. If additional information or documents are required, the applicant will be contacted promptly.
